10 Amazing Tips to Crack any Government Exam

When I started preparing for my UPSC civil service examination I was in a dilemma about whether I would be able to crack it. It turned out that my working strategy clicked and I was able to secure a decent score in the examination. I shall share with you a few things which will help you to score big in the exam:

    Make a Pen and Paper Sketch of your Routine
I used to wake up at 7 in the morning and in the first hour of the day made a sketch about the course of action that I needed to take in the day. Always give an hour to build a good plan and stick to it. Do not divert from this no matter what allures you.

    Eat Healthily
A healthy breakfast followed by a healthy lunch increases your retaining capacity in the brain.

    Stay Flexible
I used to change my plans everyday just to make sure I have enough recreation in life. As the saying goes “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy” applies well in this case. Have time for refreshments and TV.

    Follow Standard Books
If you are going for any material on the web you are in for a big shock. Following standard books is more advisable than mugging up random notes on the internet.

    Create an Atmosphere of Examination
While practising, create an atmosphere of the examination hall within your room. I used to practice with stopwatches by my side.

    Give up Facebook
The earlier you deactivate your Facebook account the more gain you will have.

    Be Prepared
Competitive examinations require adequate preparation so stay updated on the syllabus with frequent revisions.

    Realize your Mistakes
I used to make a note of my mistakes in a separate notebook and tried not to repeat them in the future sessions.

    Study a Variety of Topics
Always go for different subjects while preparing for UPSC or any other government exams. It not only helps you with covering the entire syllabus but also gives you the interest to study.

    Do not make Excuses
Do not make too many excuses for your failure. If you fail, have the strength to accept your failure and move on.

These ten essential tips can lift you to the top 1% of candidates in the examination.
